Postdoctoral positions at UT/ORNL (Posted November 8, 2007)

The nuclear theory group at the University of Tennessee / Oak Ridge National Laboratory has openings for postdoctoral positions.
Interested candidates should have a PhD in physics and a documented interest in low-energy nuclear structure theory. The canditates are expected to dedicate a significant fraction of their research to (i) ab-initio coupled-cluster calculations relevant to the SciDAC-2 UNEDF program, (ii) the interface between density-functional theory and ab- initio methods in medium-mass nuclei relevant to the SCiDAC UNEDF program, or (iii) nuclear mass models based on the nuclear shell model. Positions are initially for one year with possible extensions contingent on performance and funding. Interested candidates should send their application (CV, statement of research interest, publication list, and names of potential references) via email to Thomas Papenbrock (tpapenbr@utk.edu).
