Current Student/Postdoc Research

Biao Hu (above) will investigate the surface structural and physical properties of ruthenates by Low Energy Electron Diffraction (LEED),High Resolution Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (HREELS)and Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) and Spectroscopy (STS).

Xiaobo He is a postdoc in the Plummer group. His research is focusing on surface electron structure on Fe-based superconductors and transition metal oxides, and hydrogen-storage on light metal substrates with STM and HREELS.

TeYu Chien (above) is working on the anisotropic electron-phonon coupling on isotropic surface state of Be(0001). His work is mainly done by ARPES (Angle-Resolved PhotoEmission Spectroscopy) in synchrotron facilities, such as Advanced Light Source (ALS) in Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) and Aarhus STorage RIng in Denmark (ASTRID) in the Institute for Storage ring facilities in Aarhus (ISA)
