North American Workshop on Beta-delayed neutron emission
2-3 May 2013 at JIHIR (ORNL, USA)
This workshop is intended to present and coordinate experimental, theoretical and evaluation efforts on beta-delayed neutron emission process in the US and Canada, which is also related to the IAEA Coordinated Research Project (CRP). During this topical workshop, the current and anticipated research in North American laboratories will be reviewed prior to the first 2013 CRP meeting in Vienna (Austria).
In October 2011, the IAEA Nuclear Data Section in Vienna hosted a Consultants' meeting on "Beta-delayed neutron emission evaluation" and initiated work towards the IAEA "Coordinated Research project" (CRP). The report is now available here. In May 2012, the McMaster University (Hamilton, Canada) hosted a meeting during the preparation phase of the CRP.
The 2013 Oak Ridge workshop will also host a satellite meeting on beta-delayed neutron emission experiments at TRIUMF.
The workshop will be held at the Joint Institute for Heavy Ion Research (JIHIR) with an easy access to the ORNL Physics Division experimental facilities.
Scientific program and presentations.
Requests for contributed presentations should be sent to the organizers before 04/15/2013.
Workshop is sponsored by the Joint Institute for Heavy Ion Research.
Registration is closed.
Non-US citizen/residents are requested to register by 04/01/2013.
