Welcome to the application page for the graduate program in the Department of Physics at the University of Tennessee. The information requested in this application is used by the Department to make decisions on the award of assistantships and fellowships. A separate application for admission to The UT Graduate School must be made at http://web.utk.edu/~gsinfo or by mail. If you have any interest in the graduate program at the University of Tennessee, we encourage you to begin this application process at your earliest convenience. Your application will inform us of your possible interest and get you on our contact list. This financial aid application costs nothing and the information you initially provide can be updated, modified, or even deleted at any time using the password that you will provide when beginning the application process. Our Graduate School does not require the Graduate Record Examination for admission to candidacy. However, the department requests that you take the general GRE exam if you wish to be considered for financial aid, and also strongly recommends the Physics and/or Mathematics exam. In addition to the information that is requested on this application, we request that you provide us with three letters of reference, at least one of which should be from a professor who is familiar with your academic performance.
