Jordan McDonnell Wins SSGF Fellowship

Physics Graduate Student Jordan McDonnell has won a prestigious fellowship to pursue doctoral work in stewardship science. McDonnell is among the students honored with an award from the Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration Stewardship Science Graduate Fellowship (SSGF) Program. The fellowship includes a yearly stipend of $32,400, payment of all tuition and fees, and a $1,000 yearly academic allowance. McDonnell is a teaching assistant in the physics department and is set to join the nuclear physics theory group. He is a 2006 graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, where his proficiency in math and physics earned him honors as a John Kershner Scholar and winner of the Michael J. Mumma Prize in physics and astronomy.
