TAAPT (Tennessee Section of the American Association of Physics Teachers) is an organization that seeks to enhance the understanding and appreciation of physics across Tennessee through teaching.

The annual meeting is free.

Students are welcome to attend and are encouraged to give a poster.

Attendees can expect presentations about many aspects of physics, from teaching tips to basic reviews of research, in universities, colleges, and high schools.

The meeting includes a dinner with a featured presentation by Dr. Thomas Proffen from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory Neutron Science Directorate, as well as talks and poster presentations.
