The University of Tennessee in partnership with Oak Ridge National Laboratory is recruiting leading scientists to conduct research in the new Joint Institute for Advanced Materials(JIAM).
JIAM Governor's Chair appointments take strategic advantage of the major research facilities at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (e.g. the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences, Spallation Neutron Source, High Flux Isotope Reactor, National Center for Computational Sciences) or the specialized, high-dollar equipment associated with JIAM (electron microscopes, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy). Additionally, JIAM supports Governor's Chair appointments relevant to one or more of the other UT-ORNL joint institutes. with access to some of the most advanced scientific tools available.
