Minoring in Physics or Astronomy

The Physics Minor

Students who wish to minor in physics may do so by completing Honors Fundamentals of Physics (Physics 137-138) and Modern Physics (Physics 250), OR Introduction to Physics (Physics 135-136) and Physics 250; plus an additional 12 hours from physics and astronomy courses numbered 300 or above. The Astronomy Minor

A minor in astronomy consists of one year of Introductory Astronomy, Astrophysics (Astronomy 411), Special Topics in Astronomy--3 hours (Astronomy 490), Mechanics (Physics 311-312), and Modern Optics (Physics 421).
