For High School Juniors and Seniors
If you've ever taken apart something to see how it works or just have a curiosity about the natural world, come visit our department to find out why physics might be the right choice for you. This small, casual gathering will provide ample opportunities to ask questions and find out what a physics degree requires and where you can go with it (hint: not just graduate school!). Faculty and students will be on hand to chat personally with high school students who want to learn more about our programs. To give our visitors personal attention, registration is limited, so click on the link above to apply! (Deadline is September 30.)

Our undergraduate student group is one of the most active in the entire national organization. They've developed a reputation for their outstanding outreach efforts, both on campus and in the community. They also travel to conferences and sponsor workshops on applying to graduate school, putting together resumes, and getting involved in research. SPS members at the Open House can answer questions about what it's really like to major in physics and the opportunities it offers.
